Collection: MOTION CONTROL

We are experts at motorized robotic controlled systems.  These include all types of motors including stepper, brushed and brushless DC motors.  With stepper motors these systems may be open or closed loop with encoder feedback.

Stepper motors do not like abrupt changes in velocity which can lead to a stall.  Our stepper designs feature precision control with linear velocity ramps which avoid such conditions.  We can also tune systems to avoid common stepper resonance which can also lead to stalling.

DC motors both brushed and BLDC require feedback for speed or position control.  We offer tunable digital PID control loops with extensive experience tuning these systems.  Our designs feature anti-windup and other advanced controls.

The picture shown is an infrared zoom lens with sub-micron positioning of two lens elements that must track perfectly under all conditions of focal length, object distance, and thermal considerations.  Other systems include tiny motors with low milli-Newton meters of torque to large multi-hp motors.  Contact us for more information.
